Profil

Adrianna Mendrek s’intéresse aux facteurs de sexe et de genre qui influencent les maladies mentales, ainsi qu’aux processus cognitifs et émotionnels grâce à la technique de neuro-imagerie. A. Mendrek travaille avec des patients atteints de schizophrénie, d’autisme, de troubles d’attention et de dépendance aux drogues. Elle a notamment montré que, dans la schizophrénie, l’activation cérébrale est beaucoup plus grande chez les hommes schizophrènes lorsqu’ils sont soumis à une tâche émotive, que chez les femmes.
